Production
A
manufacturing file is created by our engineering team from the architect's
drawings. This file is used
by our workshop to manufacture moulds and GRC elements along with
their fixings.
Our Engineering team works in a computer centre with the latest
design software to produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
It is essential that the ideas of the architect
are translated into purely technical data. Eventually, a fully detailed manufacturing file is passed on
to our production team for the fabrication of cornices, columns,
banners, panels and other elements.
Each element will include a fixing capable of withstanding
the weight of a man.
The first step of the production process is handled by our team
of joiners and sculptors who manufacture moulds according to the
form and dimensions as specified by the client.
PARTNER ENGINEERING uses two manufacturing processes to ensure
manufacturing adaptability in accordance with the required technical
specifications (vibrated casting and spray on).
In
every case, weight, thickness, colour and grain specifications are
followed to the letter. The
thinness of the elements (15-20 mm) facilitates fitting out on any
kind of support : traditional masonry, concrete, metal framing,
wood ... flat, curved or angular building elements,
sculpted facings and coloured frescos, PARTNER ENGINEERING's GRC
allows for total creative freedom.
When dry, the elements are inspected and manually finished in order
to obtain a smooth or polished aspect or stone roughness. Finally, the elements are mounted and film-wrapped
on palettes or placed in wooden cases and shipped to our clients’
sites.
The success of the
manufacturing of PARTNER ENGINEERING's GRC, is guaranted by approved
procedure CSTB 1/00-757
